Preserving wildlife, spreading awareness
LIBRA INDIA took the first step towards fulfillment of its objectives when it partenered with the Wildlife Trust of India under the aegis of Mrs. Akanksha Choudhary, Deputy Conservator of Forest (Wildlife) and David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation for constructing a water tank in forest area since an urgent need was felt to protect the wild animals from the adverse effects of heat and scarcity of water. The land for constructing the water-tank was graciously alloted by the Gram Panchayat, Bhavad, District Jodhpur and the requisite funds were donated by the Wildlife Trust of India and David Shepherd Foundation. The first initiative of LIBRA INDIA was completed under the able supervision of Mr. Sanjeet Purohit, Mr. Baljinder Singh Sandhu and Mr. Rajesh Parihar. LIBRA INDIA also takes pride in forming a Wildlife Protection Fund at Bhavad by making the initial contribution of Rs. 5,000/-.
A small program for inauguration of water tank was organised at Bhavad in the esteemed presence of Mrs. Akanksha Choudhary, trustees and executive committee members of LIBRA INDIA, members of Gram Panchayat and a huge gathering of the villagers.
